Conception:

During a time of experimenting with different things on my channel, I decided to record a video of me playing the VR game Blade & Sorcery. Because I'm a total pansy, though, I didn't want to use my voice, so instead of relying on that for humor, I just made the whole baseline of the video a joke--that joke being that I was a murderous little goblin that wielded forks for weapons. I made a few more videos with that same concept, and although they didn't do very well, I really found the concept funny. I made the "Land of Pee" map while messing with a new map-creating program: Inkarnate. I decided that, because Fork Goblin didn't have a home, I might as well just use the map I had made.

Fork Goblin used to be called Fork "Gnome." He was not technically an actual gnome. This is just a title the goblins give to disgraced prisoners, which Fork Goblin was at the start. Eventually, he was granted the title, "Fork Goblin."

Almost a year after the end of the Fork Goblin War, a disgruntled Ailoo nationalist blames the disgracing of his homeland on the Fork Goblin, and kills him dishonorably in his sleep. The assassination receives different reactions all over the world, but even the most avid of Fork Goblin haters agree that the killing was a disgrace. The assassin was caught and executed a week later.

Prophecy of Fork Goblin ❌

After the murder of Fork Goblin, he became a martyr for many across the Land of Pee. A cult-like attitude began to form around his story. Many believed that one day the Fork Goblin would resurrect again, as he did all those years ago, and become even more powerful. What happens when he is revived is a disputed topic, but most agree that it might be catastrophic. Many nations even implemented laws to detect and prevent this resurrect, specifically Ailoo and Mino.

Meaning:

The Fork Goblin is meant to represent the highest form of free spirit. He is the amalgamation of society's blight, honesty, and how the natural order of things can be broken so easily. He doesn't die, but he cannot live forever. He is all-powerful, but something so small can be his undoing. Although he can affect politics, he does not see politics. Nothing can prevent him from living or dying. He is an unstoppable force; he is the spirit of unrest.
